These concerts will provide a platform for the composers to share with the audience their process, inspirations, compositional techniques and any relevant material to show what makes their music unique. This will take the form of a ~10 minute presentation/interview with the composer before the performance elaborating on the composition. Additional media, text, musical demonstrations or any other creative ways of explaining your work are encouraged. There will be 2 concerts held in May 2025 on May 23rd and 25th to feature six chosen works. Each chosen composer will receive a $100 honorarium. The pieces will be selected by a panel of established composers and performers as well as the festival’s directors.
