What is Contemporary Music Interactive?
Contemporary Music Interactive (CMI) was conceived out of a passion for making contemporary music more accessible for modern audiences. Established in Winnipeg, CMI aims to provide a platform for young Manitoban composers under the age of 35 to showcase their works in an engaging environment.
Recognizing that contemporary compositions can sometimes be a new experience for listeners, CMI employs a concert format that equally emphasizes performance and presentation, offering valuable insights into the inspirations, backgrounds, and creative processes of the featured composers.
CMI is proud to be part of GroundSwell’s GroundFloor Initiative.
