Contemporary Music Interactive (CMI) is a concert series in Winnipeg dedicated to showcasing new chamber music by emerging Manitoban composers.

Set for May 2025, CMI offers a unique blend of performance and presentation, providing audiences with a deeper understanding of the creative process behind contemporary compositions.

CMI wants your music! Submit a piece to be considered for performance and be part of the music sharing experience! Due February 15th 2025!

Tickets

The inaugural season of CMI will take place on May 23 and 25, 2025 at Fort Garry Mennonite Fellowship.

Entrance will be by donation. More info to come.

January Fundraising Concert Success!

On January 3rd 2025 CMI had a preview fundraiser concert for our innaugural season!

Directors Sophie Reimer-Epp and River Sawchyn were joined by acclaimed pianist and new music expert Everett Hopfner to present music by Eckhardt-Gramatté, Colreidge-Taylor Perkinson, Karen Tanaka, Mark O’Connor, Ravel and a premier of a new sonata for violin and piano by River Sawchyn.
